Work Experience-

Campus Movie Fest (Intern)

I researched adobe animation in order to better help students submit their portfolio to Animake This. I was given a parameter of all media art colleges in New York.  I researched and attended college events focused on anime, computer on hand I signed students up at the events. Out of the 20 interns I was promoted and given India as well as a list of exclusive animation forums that I was able to join all of. Even Theory Animation, which only has three administers and I am currently volunteering for.

Broadway Comedy Club (Comedian)

Our group performed improvisation live and that taught me how to listen to people and work in a team as one instead of focusing on my own lines. We performed sketches that were written by our director who had very specific demands that with repetition I was able to perform. I began writing stand up jokes geared to the audience as opposed to what I thought was funny. I promoted the show along with the rest of the cast.

Verizon Fios (Sales Person)

I was a door to door salesman armed with a list of cold leads. I learned to start a comfortable conversation with the home owners by cultivating their uniqueness outside of the home into and ice breaker. This job helped me become the confident assertive women I am today because of how many objectives I had to overturn by listening, empathizing, and letting them know their neighbors felt the same way unit I gave them a solution. I closed deals right at the door set up an appointment for installation and personally delivered a care package upon the instillation date to insure the customer is happy with the service they choose.

Splash Down Beach Water Park (Life Guard)

I was a lifeguard mainly responsible for making people feel safe; I was able to do that by keeping up with my rescue training regularly, confidently assessing/ eliminating danger, and always watching the water. I learned patients and how to give positive direction by training new life guards. My specialty at slash down was helping children stung by bees distracting them while I got the stinger out.

Hudson Rib and Fish (Server)

As a server I became humble and focused completely on a strangers needs. Making their meal run on    time and smooth as if they were the only people in the world. I did this by knowing how everything is cooked and describing the food so that the guests weren’t weary about ordering the new specials.

Red Lobster (Hostess)

My job was to bring guests to a table that they would be immediately acknowledged by a server.  I learned to think first then act. I made haste mistakes when I quickly sat guests in sections with an unavailable server. I was able to easily seat guests when I followed a rotation before bringing them to the dining area. If the rotation was unable to accommodate the guest with immediate service I assured them I would accommodate an available table as soon as possible. Waitlists became dually important to keep track of the parties arrival time and to decrease the likely hood of them leaving.
